Would you jump into a cab and say "Drive!" before knowing your destination? No. That's why I start by learning everything I can about you, your clients, your competition, and your goals — because knowing where we're going makes it a hell of a lot easier to get there.
Here's how we do that: start by looking over the Onboarding Document. It's a questionnaire that helps me understand who you are, who your customers/competitors are, and what your goals are. Some parts may feel like they don't apply to you, and that's ok. Just fill out what you can, skip the rest.
The Creative Brief combines the highlights of the Onboarding Document with the specific marching orders for the project. It’s my to-do list. Fill out as much as you can. The more info I have, the better job I’m able to do. (Cheaper, too.)
Once I have both these pieces in hand, I’ll revise the Creative Brief and share both that and a cost estimate with you. Once you approve those, I go to work.
I will always meet (and often exceed) our agreed-upon timelines.
I will never exceed (and occasionally come in under) our agreed-upon budgets.
